My Story
Mar 09, 2025From Burnout to Wildherd: My Journey Back to Strength
I’ve always been the one who shows up. As a mom of three, a special needs parent, an entrepreneur, and a nonprofit leader, I spent years juggling responsibilities, leading with my heart, and pouring everything I had into the people and causes that mattered most. When my town was devastated by a flood, I stepped up to lead philanthropic recovery efforts, working tirelessly to rebuild and support those who had lost everything.
But somewhere in the process of holding it all together, I lost myself. I was burned out, unhealthy, and struggling to find joy. The weight of constantly giving, leading, and managing the chaos of life had drained me, and I knew something had to change.
The Journey Back to Joy
That’s when I found my way back to horses.
Horses had always been a part of my life, but amid all my responsibilities, I had let that connection slip away. As I rediscovered them, I realized they weren’t just a passion—they were a path to healing, presence, and resilience. They showed me what it meant to lead without force, to move with the flow of life, and to reconnect with my own inner wisdom.
That journey led me to a lifelong dream: owning a ranch and creating a space where others could experience the power and wisdom of horses. I got certified through E3A (Equine Experiential Education Association) and TeachingHorse, deepening my understanding of how horses can help people grow, adapt, and thrive.
Wildherd Workshops: A Space to Reset, Reconnect, and Lead with Strength
Now, I get to share that experience through Wildherd Workshops—a place where leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers can step away from the chaos, bypass burnout, and reconnect with their instincts, energy, and purpose. This isn’t about checking out—it’s about checking in. It’s about learning to move with the unknown instead of fighting against it, just like a wild herd does.
The world isn’t slowing down anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean we have to burn ourselves out trying to keep up. Horses have taught me how to adapt, lead, and thrive in uncertainty—and now, I’m here to share that wisdom with you.
